Dr. Kate Dodds, Group Technical Officer

Kate is passionate about safeguarding ecosystem function amidst global change. At Corporate Carbon she realises this through the implementation of nature-based emissions reduction and removals solutions which maximise carbon, environmental and social benefits.

Kate leads the technical team, providing technical, feasibility and environmental advice on current and potential carbon projects.

Kate has worked extensively in marine and terrestrial environmental consulting in Southern Africa and on Blue Carbon co-benefits and financing mechanisms in Australia. Kate’s PhD contributed to the Living Seawalls eco-engineering project.

When not in the office Kate can be found outside somewhere, running, mountain biking or in the sea.

Kate holds a PhD in Marine ecology (Macquarie University, Sydney), a MSc in Oceanography (UCT), a BSc (hons) in Ichthyology (Rhodes University) and a BSc in Environmental Science (UCT).
